Messing
with the mystic
The support club attended the London Bop on
the 16th of September to commemorate the 26th anniversary of Marc’s
passing. The Bop was once again organised by Terry (main man) Hughes
and his lovely lady Annie. After going to the Golders Green crematorium
to pay our respects to Marc all of his fans met up at the Refectory
pub. As always Marc’s fans were well received by Haley and
her staff, not just at the Refectory, but also kept everyone well
refreshed at the Bop which continued into the early hours down in
the Klub Xtreme.
Thanks go to Terry and Annie for putting in the months of time and
effort that go into making the day. With Annie’s help Terry
spun Marc’s music and made the Bop another tremendous party
and a great tribute to Marc.
Rolan had commitments back in LA and could not attend the Bop this
year but he was well represented by Peter van Houten (documentary
film maker) and by Vinny Rock, Rolans guitarist.

At the Bop
Peter van Houten happily selling “In the daytime the stars
will shine” DVD’s and Video’s. A good number of
both formats sold at the party held at the Klub xtreme.
Vinny Rock (Rolan’s guitarist as if you don’t know)
attended the Klub xtreme and mirrored his support for the documentary.
Vinny also brought along a copy of “I can see” which
was recorded earlier in the year at Sensible studios. Terry the
co-organiser and DJ for the event happily played the track for Rolan
and in tribute to Marc Bolan. The song was received well by all
who attended.
