This is a report that has been edited from the forum;
Two fans have given valuable insights for the evening’s entertainment.
We thank you both very much for getting in touch.

Firstly thanks to Humbug!

Venue - quite pleasant (at least early on), but it’s primarily a club and not particularly suited as a live venue, although the sound in there was great.
It’s pretty small with a capacity of 220, and gets very hot.
There didn't seem to be any urgency about getting the bands on stage and the first band came on around 9.30pm.

Rolan Bolan came on shortly after 12. I say came on, they spent the first 20 minutes looking for the missing kick drum pedal (all the bands had been sharing the same drum kit and it disappeared after the last band).

At one point it seemed that they were going to abandon the gig, but Rolan being the professional that he is decided to play a couple of tracks with Vince on guitar while the search continued. Dave joined on bass for the second track, and then eventually the pedal turned up and Bert joined in. At which point the gig definitely moved up a notch in terms of excitement, finally they were back on track!

Set length was around 50 minutes, the last 20 minutes of which turned into a jam with random musicians and even audience members getting in on the act!

An enjoyable, if variable gig.
Thanks guys and come back soon. I'll be spreading the word.

Secondly J gives the rundown on who was who;

I was there too and it was a great gig and really good fun. The "random musicians" who ended up onstage with Rolan and the boys that night included Finley Quaye, Har mar superstar, Dyanna Fearon and the Libertines. Rolan went down really well with the crowd who included Alan Mcgee, (top of the pops producer) Chris Cowey, Lisa L'anson, Sadie Frost and lots more... can't wait for the next one!
